Working at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Hackney, London, E8

We are looking for massage therapists and reflexologists to join the dynamic team of Complementary Therapists at St. Joseph’s and I was wondering whether the following could be circulated to your newly qualified students and alumni.

St Joseph’s Hospice in East London is one of the largest of its kind and serves multiple boroughs with a community of over two million people.

Working with us is a great way to start and build a career.  Therapists will experience working with a diverse population and learn how to work with people with complex conditions and needs, with the support and supervision of our lead therapists.  The Complementary Therapies team is strongly integrated into the multi-disciplinary, holistic care at the Hospice and therapists will gain valuable experience working within an MDT in a clinical setting.  After 6 months we will be able to provide them with a reference.

This is a voluntary position but therapists are reimbursed for travel expenses and provided with a meal on the day they attend.  They are able to attend regular case study meetings and have access to CPD training opportunities.  They are also able to network with other therapists and have opportunities to skill share.  All equipment is provided and therapists can also rent our treatment rooms to treat private patients.
