Project Description
ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for the Complementary Therapist QN 603/4100/2
Qualification gained: ITEC Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Complementary Therapies
This ITEC Level 3 diploma course is the essential ‘foundation’ for which all other Complementary, Health and Well-being, Beauty, Massage and Sports therapy diploma awards are based. It is essential for anyone who intends to work in direct contact with the human body and its physiological structures.
- Our A&P classes will be taught via using a blended learning approach on weekends/ evenings+ 1 exam day.
- Most classes will be taught remotely via live interactive classes on Zoom on Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm.
- There will also be just a few face-to-face classes at the weekends.
- Zoom classes will be recorded and available to watch for revision or if you have missed a session. This approach has proven itself to be very popular and very successful.
To complete the Certificate, we offer this ‘Fast track/ Intensive’ option. The entire course runs over 3.5 – 4 months and we repeat it 3 times a year.
A&P Courses – Online or classroom based?
For many years it has been widely recognised in the educational field that the most effective learning takes place when the learner’s senses are activated on a multiple level – in other words, Seeing, Hearing AND Doing!!!
That’s why you’ll see us using ALL learning styles to ensure senses are stimulated and included. The remote classes are live which offers the learner the opportunity to question and clarify information there and then.
Students have achieved truly excellent results. Several of our students gained a distinction, which means that they obtained a mark of 90% or above.
How does our live online training differ from other course providers?
Many online courses are ‘self-directed’, which means that the learner logs on and studies alone and in their own time – the course is pre-recorded and “1 size fits all”, you just log and do it yourself.
This often means that learning is an isolating experience, with no opportunity to check or clarify anything, no interaction with fellow learners and with no tutor support to answer any questions at that time.
‘Live’ online courses, as opposed to pre-recorded learning sessions, allow each student to interact with the tutor, so that any questions can be answered, and clarification achieved – this promotes much more effective learning and ensures that students are clear on subject matter and topics.

I have recently done an A&P course with Helen from the School of Natural Therapies and I would highly recommend the course. When I joined the course I honestly didn’t believe I could learn all the material and get through the exam but Helen is an excellent teacher who uses many tricks and techniques to make the information stick! We did a lot of the course via Zoom which worked really well and didn’t impact my ability to learn the material! Highly recommended and a big thank you to Helen for being fantastic!

Absolutely fantastic course- taught on zoom but so different from other Zoom courses I have done.
Lots of interaction with tutor and other members of the group. Great visuals and video clips – detailed support as homework /worksheets/ video copies of classes/ website to go to etc. well paced with time for revision and practice papers with a final mock exam paper. Helen the tutor highly experienced, great sense of humour . She taught in a number of different teaching styles which gave everybody avenues to learn in different ways at various speeds. I highly recommend .
